Default Re: Trailers for my viper

Have used a 98 Jeep GC 5.9, 2002 Jeep Overland 4.7HO and have used a Ram SRT10 Quad Cab to tow a Viper on a open 17' Featherlite. Both Jeeps did the Job with little effort including going up and down hills.

The SRT Ram (towing Rated at 7500 lbs) is just outstanding for towing this set-up. The trucks 5400 pounds and massive brakes give real balance making the towing effortless. The Viper motor pulls like a CAT. The Ram has an added advantage of space to carry a set of spare tires without exceeding loading limits.

The Ridgeline should be ok for towing a Featherlite, but you will be very close to the rated capacity. Not sure of the Honda's weak link. Jeep GC's can tow 6000 pounds. Get a good brake controller for you tow vehicle.

And I do like the image of towing the Viper with a Viper powered Ram QC.
