Viper Pads: Back in 2001 we had a huge stock of Gen 1 and 2 front racing pads specially made by EBC. These are known as the “Blue”, track ONLY pad to fit the older Brembo front caliper used from 1992 through 2002. They and “Yellows” were used very successfully at Viper Days in that era, particularly effective for drivers with a driving style hard on the brakes. EBC Blue was able to successfully control the high temperatures and keep them rotor friendly, while their durability would wear like iron. These ARE definitely a “track only” pad, as they perform best with a pre-heating tap before maximum application. Unlike the low dusting EBC is famous for, these things do throw black dust everywhere, but for this particular application, we believe that’s only a minor issue. And, these are also harder and much more “track only” than more recent formulations by EBC. Track rat pads! Perfect for weekends with many track sessions on both days, not having to change out pads! These were expensive at the time, at least for EBC, retailing for $149 a set. But still lower in price than popular competitive brands, .
