Default Re: Programmers and calibrations

Thanks for the response,

In regards to the Gen 1 Vipers. To calibrate your engine controller we will need your computer, a list of your modifications and a dyno sheet (with air fuel readings) to make a program. Some early computers
(1992-1994) may require us to modify them for a programmable chip. These engines tend to require more fuel in the upper rpm range, if you have engine modifications like cylinder heads and camshaft changes, you may require an injector change as well as a calibration. If you are just adding headers and air intake, a calibration is not needed.

In regards to the 1996-2006 Vipers (including Gen 1 1996 Viper). There are many options for tuning your car. In reference to the posts I will stick to the SCT programmer, the VEC 2-3 and in-house programming of your controller.

With the SCT programmer we can supply you with 3 calibrations for your modifications. There are no end user adjustments, but we can e-mail you changes to the tune. With the VEC 2-3, you can make adjustments to your car on the dyno or by driving the car and making changes and verifying the results.
This requires you to have knowledge of how to make the changes or work with Roe Racing to supply you with the program cards. For those who want to do the tuning, this is a good option. If you supply us with your modifications and dyno sheet, DC Performance can program your computer and send it back to you. We have calibrations for bone stock engines to highly modified engines (proven). We just need your information.
