Default Re: Price Of Gas

Remove the monkey and his supporters from the big house and things will change. I am definitely not a big green supporter, or a tree hugger, though if we can do things better and more efficient, I support it. The whole green thing is just the latest fad like the .coms, Y2K, etc. Sorry, but working in the Oil & gas industry for over 12 years, the whole Oil shortage thing is very overblown and the whole foreign oil aspect is just a political ploy, as well.

Canadian Oil/Gas has always been more money than US. Having grown up in Saskatchewan, I can tell you the government taxes on it and the Canadian taxes on it and all the other usage taxes in Canada kick that price up even more. Put that in with the fact that Canada did not have enough refineries to support the demand and they export crude only to import refined product. it is changing though becuase gas prices are not shooting up in Canada by the same margin as here in the US, though it is still on the rise.

Colorado is $3.97 per gallon for premium but that is bouncing all over.

Sorry but gas over $5.00 per gallon will totally kill the US economy in 1 or 2 years. The US will NEVER have gas prices as high as in other countries. It will just never happen and people can look back on this post in 5 years and it will NOT be higher than 5.00 per gallon for regular.

Oil company greed is not that they are making all the money now, but that they made all the money in the the past 10-15 years and put in absolutley nothing into safety or upkeep or maintenance, etc. Now with pipeline bursts, refiniery fires, etc. they are paying the price for their neglect. it is another form of government bailout but now it is the amercian/canadian tax payer, paying it off directly.
