I see your point, but as a "deputy sheriff" here I can't enforce realistic expectation, just the policies as they're written. And the intent of the policy is not at all to squash the sharing of parts availability or information on the site. However allowing it to happen in the forums instead of through the established channels ultimately costs the club money. Heck, classified ads are FREE for VCA Members, so there is no direct revenue loss by VCA Members posting stuff for sale in the forums, but the policy applies evenly and impartially to everyone and it encourages folks to join the club to receive the perks rather than taking advantage of a site that other folks pay for. Damn I'm long winded.
