While I understand the whole "if they know they're going to get juiced, they'll kill the child they raped" theory, the converse could also work: If they know they're going to get the needle for EITHER CRIME, maybe they won't do it AT ALL.
They're called "Short Eyes" in the prison system.
Very few last long at all.
