What is recommended when Zaino wash or touchup just doesn't have the strength to remove bug guts or road tar? I use Meguire's Body Scrub on my other car. It works great but believe it may be too harsh for the Viper and it's purely Zaino finish.
Any other options? Thanks, Matt |

Clay bar and a little elbow grease works well.

If you have driven the Central Valley of CA in Spring/Summer evenings you know bugs. Spray WD40 on impaled insects and let cook for 45 seconds and wash off with warm soap (DAWN). May require a little elbow grease depending on the impact speed and insect composition. Then follow with Clay and Zaino polish system.

Simple Green works well. Either full strength or diluted to your liking.

Oh...Jason explained this one to me before:
You'll need: 1 pair of fish-net stockings 1 can of turtle-wax bug & tar remover 1. Shake the bug & tar remover thorughly. 2. Spray some of the bug & tar remover on the bug or tar to be removed. 3. While the b&t remover is working, go back in the house and put on the stockings. For best results, don't forget the 3-inch high heels. 4. Go back outside, now wearing the stockings and remove the bug or tar with a clean, soft cloth. hehehe...Sorry...I couldn't resist. ![]() |

Ok ROBHOOK had the best tehique on this one. Just get a bucket of hot water and soap dip the panty hose into the water and soak and scrub away. It's as easy as one two three.
