Yep, you are missing it. I believe it is fairly standard and can be bought at any auto parts store. Keep us posted!

PS. I am surprised your "check engine" light didn't come on. It doesn't like it when the gas cap is missing...

Go to Autozone and get a locking gas cap.It will not interfere with the closing.And yes you are missing a cap.

The locking cap at Autozone is made by CST...#5791...about $9.95...fits ALL Vipers.

I would get a gas cap soon...I forgot to put mine back on at the gas station, and gas spillied all over the side of my Viper, and when the gas collected dust on the way home, it was EXTREMELY hard to remove.

I would also go for the MGW gas cap like Gerald did, it looks way better! Just a thought.....
