Default Jeep Grand Cherokee question

I have a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee that has about 21,000 miles on and I have had to have the front rotors replaced 3 times already as they were warped. I had the Jeep in yesterday again as I felt the same vibration as in the past and they said the rotors are warped again! How the hell does this happen 4 times in 21,000 miles? Anyway, they will not replace them under warranty again.
My question is has anyone else had a Jeep with this problem, and if so how did you cure it? I was thinking vented rotors may be the answer...any suggestions?

My wife has a 2003 Grand Cheorkee. 33K miles. Just noticed rotors may be warped. Will take it in soon and let you know how it goes.

Other than that, car has been perfect.

I have a 99 with warped rotors. Replaced once, but am now living with it. Was told you can't keep them from warping because of the non-asbestos pads, which doesn't make sense.

I just noticed that the 2006 Jeep comes with vented rotors...wonder why they didn't replace mine with vented since it seems to be a problem with these Jeeps!

The jeep division of chrysler always seems to have more problems. I cannot figure out why.

My Cherokee had a ton of problems. Too many to list. Mine was an example of what's wrong with American cars. Total pos.

Before I bought mine, a friend told me of problems he had with his Wrangler. (I didn't listen, and bought a Cherokee anyway) I thought that was strange to have problems on a Wrangler, because they are so simple, what could possibly go wrong? But he had weird problems, like rubber bushings that didn't fit their recesses correctly, sheared bolts, etc. Strange stuff indeed, even on simple parts. You'd think it was made in a third world country or something.

In Germany all the WJ/WG Grand Cherokees got other brakes under warranty! And, if I remember correct, since 2003 the WGs (built in Graz) got the better brakes from the factory!

Grands have had this very common problem since at least 1999. If under warranty they will try to turn them, (works for a little while) or replace them with new OEM's (works a little longer).

Real solution is to replace them with aftermarket rotors. People get them from auto parts store, or high end. Aftermarket works much better than OEM, event the cheap, lifetime guarantee versons from parts store.

Brakes on new 05 (WK) Grand Cherokee are much beefier, and newer design.

You can get great deals on new Grands, which are much better vehicles (except for off road rock crawlers) than the earlier editions. Starting tomorrow everyone gets friends and family pricing with or without ambassador coupon.

My 2002 Overland(GC) had caliper warping problems and the dealer said there was a know problem and a fix, I think it was a different caliper and new rotor. My 99 also had warping problems. Towing a Viper on a Featherlite may have contributed to the warping. The Jeep was used within advertised towing limits. I suspect Jeep assumes most owners will not tow and the small n umbers who have problems just get new rotors until out of warranty.
