Default have you seen this pro stock crash yet?

http://media.putfile.com/KoretskyVSAllen/800

AMAZING. I am having a race car built right now. Rick Jones has gotten the construction of my car off to a good start, and the headers are being completed as we speak. for those who do not know, Ric Jones (RJ Racecars), does alot of these cars. I believe Bruce Allens car this year was done by Haas though. if you are into racing, go to http://www.quarter-max.com/. it is one of many awesome pro stock web sites, and is an even better place to visit in person. (Galesburg IL).

I originally had a number of friends offer to build my car, but i turned them all down. Some took it personally. it isnt cheap having a car built at a professional level, but after seeing that video, i am damn glad i stood my ground and said no.

what a great testament to the builders of these cars. thank God everyone is doing ok, and both drivers are still around to talk about it.

<< What class are you planning on running? >>

we are ironing out those details right now. i have always loved pro stock, and wanted a pro stock-style car. it will probably be overbuilt for the class i decide to run in, but that is ok as i would rather have it overbuilt than unbuilt. i have never done this before, and am just wanting to have a great time.

isnt that the truth.

Alex Zanardi lost his legs, because the T-bone force his car received wasn't squarely focused on the side of the crash tub, instead it hit the bottom of the tub. It wasn't designed for impact forces in that axis, and so it collapsed, injuring the driver as we all know.

There is a parallel here to this Pro Stock crash, because the veering car was hit by the other car underneath the chassis, and the car got cut in half. If the driver's "pod" stayed intact, thats all that matters, the rest of the car can disinegrate. I couldn't tell very clearly if this was the case.

It appears that you are right vic. "The latest reports indicated Bruce suffered several minor hand injuries and escaped life-threatening injuries."

Thanks, I was wondering about the rest of the story. Glad he's ok. Good luck with your race car.
