Got this OBDII code on my brother's 2001 BMW 325xi. Do I need to do anything besides erasing it?

I would erase it, watch to see if it returns...just did this on a friend's car...code has not reappeared.
A second friend had same thing...followed above procedure...BUT code promptly returned...and repair was done by the dealer. |
