Default Wrecked Enzo Ferrari in Malibu California

Anybody else see the pictures and hear the short story of the wrecked Enzo?

The media reports; a man driving his Enzo at high speeds on the PCH in Malibu California, slammed into a power pole cutting the Ferrari in half. The video clip on the news shows about half the car on one section of freeway, and the other half about an eigth mile down the road. The passenger walked away with only a cut lip; the driver fled the scene on foot. The CHP closed the highway for about two hours while they searched for the driver but never found him.

I wonder how he's going to explain that to his insurance company!

The "passenger" had a BAC of .09 and it seems he was actually the driver from the evidence (he is also the owner of the car). So a drunk wrecks his car...its a shame he didnt drive it off a cliff

WOW. saw the article in ww.clublexus.com.

Enzos have a bad rep for splitting in half during crashes! more than 50 have already been crashed. Over 1/2 are split in 2.

Monocoque chassis will and are designed to come apart in a severe crash. Bad rap? HAHAHAHA

Over 50 crashed? Where did you find that gem of information?

As long as the half you're in is intact, that's a good thing.

Notice most enzo crashes usually happen over 100mph?

50....nope, not even close, and only 2 split (Italy/Malibu). As for the first part of your post, Ferraris (modern) have a bad rep for spliting in half.
