Default Bad news for the kid but interesting SRT8 side note...

Some spoiled kid hit my son's SUV in the school parking lot (one entering, one leaving) and started screaming obscenities at him even though he clearly had the right-of-way and she was WAY over the middle of the road. He took it like a champ, even when her mother showed up and joined the fracus. Of course the lovely Venomiss took care of them both and defended our son with aplomb. No injuries on either end, so all is well!

Anyway, when I was chatting with the dealership that is working on my son's SUV they mentioned a virtual clone of my daily driver for sale: A 2006 300C SRT8 in Brilliant Black with all the bells and whistles. Was kind of surprised (and disappointed) that they only wanted $29K for it - and with only 5,000 miles on the clock. My older son LOVES his SRT4 Caliber, but for a few extra grand that SRT8 is a heck of a deal! And no, my youngest isn't getting it even though the accident wasn't his fault...

Too bad about the incident, good thing there were no injuries, though it sounds like that girl may have brain damage of some sort!

It would be good idea just to have a spare SRT8 sitting around, come what may.

GF moved home so now we have two SUVs so I figured I'd sell my SRT-8 Jeep and get some sort of little car as a daily driver. Wow was I disappointed to find out that after holding their value well for the first couple of years the SRT-8 Jeeps are not worth much anymore either. Guess I'm keeping it for a long time.
