Now it's MINE! I sent an email to JonB at partsrack and mentioned that I wouldn't mind buying another Stealth R/T TT (I've got two) and Jon emailed back, "Black OK?".
![]() Yup, that was OK. Even better, Dan Cragin had done an inspection for Jon and he gave me that as well. ![]() After searching for someone to make the 1500mile trip with me and to drive the car back I found out that there's not a lot of Cdns (other than me) that bothered to buy a Passport. There's also a lot of Americans that haven't bothered getting a passport. No passport means that even Americans aren't allowed to ENTER the US. I mentioned to Jon that I was having trouble finding a helper and was thinking of buying an enclosed trailer. He sent me a phone number and name. I paid about half price for the Trailer and Jon sold me the Stealth TT for about half value as well. ![]() I asked Jon for Blue Floor mats. He gave me a pass side for free. Then he sold me Black/silver mats for cheap. Jon gave me a tour of his Washdougal warehouse that had tons of body parts, dahboards, steering assys. wheels, etc. His other warehouse has smaller parts, doo-dads mats, models and who knows what all... He has sheds everywhere and it's difficult to move through his house with all the Viper stuff. I bought a brake caliper clock for cash on my way out to my new car after the paperwork was finished. Jon "lives the dream" and exists in the middle of Vipers and tons of Viper stuff. Prefect phoned while I was there and I'm presuming that Jon'll be stockpiling ACR aero stuff for us soon(?). Jon's got stacks of Viper headgaskets and that makes me happy because he's got more Viper parts than Chrysler Canada - for sure. so no worries about "What if Viper closes down?" Jon and the other Viper specialists have us covered. Thanks Jon Ted

![]() Car's more than 15 years old so the importation to Canada mostly consists of a $200 inspection 5% GST, 6% Duty (What free trade?), and 7% plus fees to BC Motor Vehicles. Trailer needs a $307 fed. inspection, BC inspection and paperwork, etc. Stealth came with extra Spoke wheel, with tire, new tires, spare tire and AMT modelers kit. Jon threw in his 91 Black R/T TT window sticker (Mulrooney) and gave me some GTS Viper key chains that are motorized. He said to hand them out to any little kids. Western Canada chapter is having an event next month so I asked Jon for some Viper pens which he promptly supplied me with about 30. Another guy phoned Jon and asked him for Insurance claim information, which Jon helped him out with. Ted

Yep, Jon's a good guy. I don't think I need to repeat what you are saying but I did anyway. He also helped me out with some insurance claim hassles recently.
Bob p.s. I wanted to add that I think your black Stealth is fine looking. I would have liked to pick up something like that myself. |

Thanks guys,
This will be my third Twin turbo. My 92 "Hunter Green" Stealth TT has 13G turbos, HKS SSQV BOV, 3" downpipe, HKS catback, HKS EBC, HKS 3rd injection system, chromed Y pipe, HKS intercooler upgrades and hardpipe kits, gutted cat, blocked EGR, DRL, GAB adj. racing shocks, 18" BBS wheels, Ceramic brake pads, Blue tooth Premiere Stereo and R/T 1500watt amp with 12" Visonik sub woofer. I built fiberglass scoops for the hood vents to remove underhood air. My Green TT also has Eibach springs to lower it 1.5" and stiffen the ride for improved handling. The previous owner upgraded (at $12000) to a 6 speed trans, chopped and welded reconfigured intake manifold, 255 Walbro fuel pump, Fidenza alum flywheel and AEM clutch. I have Stainless steel Headers hanging on the wall, but it requires quite a bit of work to instal them. For the new Black Stealth I have the 60,000 mile tune-up parts, SS headers, 16G turbos (set), Translator and translator tuner, Large FMIC, 3" polished aluminium tubing for ic, GM 3" MAS, 3" downpipe, etc. I just haven't decided if I want that big of Turbos on my winter car. The Green Stealth makes about 500hp at mid boost. 16G turbos would make somewhere around 6-650hp and that comes with a bit of turbo lag. Since our highway gets iced about mid November and doesn't clear until March, the All Wheel Drive and All Wheel Steering is awesome for ice handling and safety. I run ice radials through the winter and the traction is amazing. I feel a lot safer in the Stealth compared to the old 4x4 ![]() JonB has another Stealth R/T TT if anyone is interested. Slightly modified and equipped with Blizzacks. I originally bought this car for beating Vipers, but a Z06 took me by a length one day so I bought a supercharged Viper to make certain that never happens again. Out lake has an ice road we drive on from Xmas to end of March and nothing'll keep up to my stealth in a drag race. ![]() Engine in Black Stealth R/T TT; ![]() Ted

You'll like the 16's. When tuned right you don't get excessive turbo lag and with supporting mods you can get them in the mid 500 AWHP range. We did get one of our customers to around 625 AWHP on our Superflow dyno with 16G's, but that was on C16 and an AEM with all the upgrades.
Another option which has nice performance characteristics is to upgrade to running Ethanol which works really nice with the turbo's, but it depends on the availablity of it in your area at the gas stations. We just converted Eric's Stealth NA to it with a high compression engine and it was passing the stock TT's on the straightaways at Memphis Motorsport Raceway Get the fuel benefits of C16 at the price of less than regular unleaded fuel.AWD rocks in bad weather and rain. |

Thanks for the advice. I bought the 16Gs when a Z06 pulled a length on me. I bought a set of SS headers to cut back on the Turbo lag. My 13Gs (without cats and stock manifolds) starts to 'pull' after 2200rpm. The engine doesn't drive through the mountains unless rpms are above 2,000rpm.
I'll probably just do exhaust this summer and figure out the 'crap' I have in the Green TT. I'll do the 60K tune-up and turbos, inj, translator, etc. next winter. There is a guy here on the Forums that has a race Stealth and he ran 8 seconds with it!!! Saw his dyno and his engine makes 900awhp in nearly a flat power curve. That's amazing. I found that the 3" downpipe and gutting the cats was a huge power improvement (far more than I expected). Here's a Dodge poster I saved. ![]()

3SXVPR could mean 3ooogt, Stealth, Xtreme, Very Possible it's a Racer?
Stealth performance stuff is usually 3Si meaning 3ooo GT(Mitsubishi), Stealth and International. Forums and a few auto parts suppliers. Today I checked that my 3" SS downpipe will fit the Stealth and remove the 3 Cats when I bring the car home from inspection. I shot the flange bolts with penetrating oil. I changed the plastic Y pipe for an extra polished aluminium intake Y pipe I had sitting on the shelf. The plastic Y pipes blow off of the TB before 14psi boost. I vacuumed the car and cleaned the engine compartment of undercoating overspray. One metal cover was corroding so I sanded and painted it. There is extra cam and fan belts in the rear luggage compartment so I'll have to assume the 60,000 mile 'tune-up' was completed. The oil in the engine was clean so that was also changed. Thanks JonB. I need to inspect the power antenna. I may be able to hook it back together although it's more likely that the plastic winder needs replacement. Sirius radio probably doesn't need it though. I'll add a "key-on" power wire to the fog lights so that if the Daytime running lights are required they'll be hooked up. Ted

On the antenna it is just usually the plastic teeth on the antenna shaft that goes bad. A replacement antenna mast is about $40.

First off, I should have said nice car Ted. You did get the correct color.
Quote:
First clue, his screen name. Second, location, Charlotte, NC Third, his mention of "Eric's" car. I was a customer of 3SX when I still had my VR4. Now that I just bought another Stealth 2 weeks ago, I may be again. 3SI? I was banned from there years ago. It was just a ricer board back then with little kids who thought the pig of a car "ruled the world". ![]() Got some new parts for sale if you should need them. Inner tie rod ends Goodridge SS brake lines Ign. lock cyl, with keys CD magazines for the stock changer etc |

so who's the guy with the 900awhp Stealth? You?
Jerome - how much for the SS brake lines? 2 or 4? US? I've only got the single changer so the magazines don't work. I'm amazed that the "multifunction center behind the steeringwheel still works. My Green one had it replaced twice and it went out last year - so I installed Bluetooth Premiere instead. Post pics if you got 'em ... ![]() Ted

The Stealth belongs to Matt Monet at DR that you are referring to. It is a stroked 6G72 with a 3.5L displacement. It is over 900 AWHP- believe it is around 1200 now.
We have a 3000GT drag car with twin GT35's at almost 1000 AWHP with stock crank and bore- we haven't taken it to the track or worked on it in over 2 years though- never got it below 9.2 in the quarter. If want to see some of the cars go to www.3sx.com and we have some info posted on the different ones. Steve |

Ted, I have the Goodridge set for my old 94 VR4. It is 8 lines total. Not sure if it will fit your Gen. I or not. I will have to check and see.
For price, not sure what they are worth to you, if they will even fit one of your cars. If they will, just PM me an offer. I know I paid almost $200 shipped, but will take less than that for sure. They are not doing me any good sitting in the box as they won't work on my ES. |
