Default Best in-car video camera setup?

I'm looking for a better way to record races than the single camcorder mount. For example, in a drag race, the single rear-facing camcorder is great AFTER you've started putting car lengths on the person next to you, but it doesn't show any side-by-side action or what's going on in front of you. Mounting the camcorder facing forward gives the viewer a great "driver's view" put doesn't show the results of the race.

As such, I'd like to be able to record multiple views simultaneously such as front/side/rear, if at all possible.

Are there any multiple remote cameras available with a box which will record all the action at once for editing later on?

I suppose I could use one forward facing camcorder and one rear facing, but I have to assume there is a better solution.

Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

JB

Here are some ideas for cameras. I remember seeing a box a few years ago that could multiplex a few different cameras into a mini DV tape recorder. I'll see if I can find the link.

Raceproof looks like a much better solution and have been fitted well on Vipers. Contact Ted at Valaya Racing (Viper Tech in Nor. Cali area).
