Default Pics From Our Trip To Archer Racing

The Minnesota Viper Club made our annual trip to Duluth, MN to visit Archer Racing and hang out in the shop. John Archer graciously donated several collectible items that were auctioned off with proceeds going to the club. Tommy Archer was there and passed on a few words of wisdom. Future owners of the new ACR are going to be very happy judging by what Tommy had to say about it. Two very large thumbs up! Afterwards, it was off to the casino for dinner and gambling. Word is our club President, winner of the first '08 Viper raffle car, continued his winning ways at the blackjack table under the watchful eye of the pit boss. Doing a little card counting there Jerry?

OUCH! 007 being hard on the equipment as usual.

Beautifully restored Jaguar E-Type Coupe.

Some of you may recognize this as one of the VOI 8 special edition competition coupes.

Tommy Archer said that he did some testing of the new ACR Coupe at a track that Viper Days had visited several weeks prior; his times were 4 seconds faster than the FASTEST Comp Coupe had run. I should add he then said he was not saying that the ACR was faster than a Comp Coupe because the times were on diff weekends with different conditions but he did say that the ACR is very fast.

That place looks fantastic... like a little building of Viper paradise.

Right. And he further qualified that by saying the Comp Coupe is faster than the new ACR when he's driving it.

The bill on 007 is approximately $85,000. Many of the Comp Coupe owners have purchased insurance which does have a high deductible [18000] but you are covered if something happens.....the damage on the cars pictured are from Sebring couple weeks ago.

I'd like to here more about that insurance.

What a great place! They should be getting the cars ready for Mid Ohio Viper days next Monday and Tuesday. I know I can't wait.

Not sure what the Comp Coupes owners use, but you might take a look at these:

WSIB Insurance Agency, LLC

some details of wsib:

Motor sports coverage: garage risks on speed

Here is another:
