Big Event Airbase Mendig-nÜrnburgring

[VIPER GTS POWER]

”Advanced driver’s training at airport Mendig”, 29./30./31. August 2008


Arrival: August 29. 2008, beginning 2:00 pm in Kobern-Gondorf

Cars will be on a guarded parking lot (used before by the ViperClub). Guarding is done by the security staff of the hotel.



Program:

29.08.2008, 4:00 pm: Cruising in a convoy. Route is top secret until start. For those, that can’t attend earlier, we will all meet at 7:00 pm in Koblenz (Deutsches Eck). From there the convoy will move back to the guarded hotel parking lot.



29.08.2007, 8:00 pm: Dinner at the hotel and briefing.



30.08.2008, 8:30 am: Drive to the airport.



Start (9:00 am exact):

• <LI class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt">Accelerating and braking (¼ mile) <LI class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt">Safe cornering (Slalom) <LI class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt">Slide and regain control (wet event), drift challenge <LI class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt">Regularity trial, single driver qualifing (5.3 km)
• Regularity trial, group race (53 km)

Through the event grilled steaks and salads, as well as drinks will be offered.



30.08.2008, 6:00 pm: Drive back to the hotel



30.08.2008, 7:00 pm: Ship departs on the river Mosel incl. dinner, award ceremony and a lot of fun.



31.08.2008, 2:00 am: Return to the hotel.



31.08.2008, 10:00 am: Breakfast.



31.08.2008, 11:00 am: VCA Germany member gathering.



31.08.2008, 12:00 pm: Individual departure.





Requirements:

• <LI class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt">(All cars must be street legal.)
• All attending people must incl. the number plate, passport number and complete adress to the registration.

Kids and friends are welcome, too. Other cars are not allowed to enter the airport and have to park outside of the facility.



Participation fee: 110,00 EUR per person.

Incl. dinner (Friday and Saturday) and catering on Saturday at the airport, and incl. non-alcoholic drinks.



Hotel costs: 39,00 EUR per person and night, incl. breakfast.



Registration until March 31. 2008 incl. the participation fee of 110,00 EUR per person.

For the airport being a military facility, we need to pass the informations about the attending people, friends, children etc. and cars on to the military.

For some reason the German VCA is setting up an event the same date VOI 10 is...but thats a question you have to ask the VCA Germany officers...see you in Detroit, Mary!

This is my 5th and not last visit to the US this year.

Owe you and Chris a dinner in Detroit anyway for the help with the CARFAX!

we were told the track day at the NATO airbase was booked way in advance of the VOI dates being released, i guess you get what your given dates wise when it comes to dealing with NATO, so there's the answer

unfortunately i dont think anyone from the UK is making VOI either
