Got new side sills under warranty for my '94, and because the dealer didn't seem very interested, I just picked them up and took all the parts home. The sills were painted the body color (they forgot the black center part
) and there is an inner insulation _bonded_ inside. On the original sills, the insulation is _riveted_ in place. But with the new sills, there is an extra sheet metal heat shield that arrived separate - so how is it supposed to be installed? It obviously goes inside against the side pipe. There are tabs on the lower edge, but no slots in the body piece... Do these get riveted in place? And any hints on how to get the rock guards stickers on right the first time? Thanks |
