I am in the process of searching for a GTS Viper.
Would like to have a Modified car but only if done Right. I was thinking a Henessey 650R version might be a good way to go, very fast but built properly. Am I assuming correctly or not? Other Options would be a supercharged car. Any advice about either would be very appreciated. I am Located in the Charlotte NC area but will buy it anywhere if its the right deal. Thanks Chris Meurett |

I just noticed that VCA member VIPER650R just purchased a Venom 650R Hennessey and has posted some pics and information. He may be an excellent resource to discuss the specifics of the 650R.
I own a Venom 550 Hennessey car and am very happy with it. Here are a couple links to threads that I posted about owning a Hennessey car and the different Hennessey models. I have a Hen car I have a Hen car Hen Venom info Hen Venom info Oh, I am also in the process of modifying my Venom 550 Hennessey. Here is the link 96 Viper GTS Venom 550 - making more mods Send me a PM and I will provide you with more Hennessey info. Hope this helps! Cheers Jason

I've owned 2 Roe sc'd cars. Loved them both. Nearly all modified Vipers are great cars and done properly. Very few shops play games with Vipers as they aren't for the "el-cheapo" kind of person. Get a receipt and see what was done.
Most of us here will recommend Brake mods first, as you can never have too much brakes. You may want to contact the VCA chapter and ask to get a ride in a modified Viper before you decide how modified a car you want. Try a Roe supercharger and a TT or Paxton as they're completely different driving experiences. Hennessey does build a great car, but so do many others. Hennessey's usually cost a bit more. Ted
