Picked up my '08 coupe last Thursday at CAAP. They gave me a wonderful reception and a great tour. If you are able to do a factory pick-up, it is unforgettable. Breaking-in the car on Interstates is work and obviously distracting - after 700 miles and two tickets I got home with no incidents.
My overall impression is that the 2008 is more user friendly than my 1997 coupe (both v. red with black gut). Seating is more comfortable; steering more precise; shifting more direct (will be even better when I get a "skip-shift" in it). Generally the car seems far more tractable. It has a much nicer sound. Haven't punched it yet – 300 miles to go! Visit my gallery if you have serial numbers 1004, 1077, 1105, 1110, 1200, 1220, 1272, 1286, or 1290 to see photos of those cars being built. Thanks again CAAP and especially Janet. |
