a- i know these have 450 hp, what do they run stock quarter mile and 0-60

b- this is the gen 2 engine yes, so no headgasket probs...

c- what kind of hp gains w/ a corsa catback and filters and smooth tubes.....quarter mile....

d- if they are indeed a gen 2 engine, arent they cheaper to upgrade....

The funny thing about advertised 1/4 Mile claims is that they don't mean squat till you actually go to the track. I remember before buying my 1st Viper around that year that the 1/4 ET was 12.2 and the 0-60 was 4.1. Somewhere around there. But I guarantee that the average Joe won't even come close to that at the track. There are too many underlying factors at play. But that's what your Viper should be capable of stock.

Do all your basic bolt-ons and you could be down to an 11.7 - 11.8 1/4 ET easily with the right snake charmer at the healm.

a-11.95-12.2 with a good or lucky driver. 4.1-4.2 sec ditto

b- yes; no

c- HP gains ~20-25; quarter? .1

d- Not necessarily cheaper, but more options....and you have a 50HP headstart!
