With full fuel and driver, expect the rear to be about 52% of the total weight (3,600 pounds). Under hard braking, substantial weight transfers off the rear tires and onto the front. I doubt you will ever achieve more than about 1 g in braking force, which will result in weight transfer of about 600 pounds in total. At this point, you will only have 35% of the car's weight on the rear tires. If you are simultaneously trying to turn the car sharply, there's a good chance that the rear will spin out on you. This would be true for any car.
The stock rear wheels are 13" and the fronts are 10" wide. |
