Default Free 1/4 mile runs at Irwindale??

I saw something on the news that they have 1/4 mile runs at Irwindale for free. I know the savings of 10 bux is meaningless but Irwindale is VERY local, 20 mins from me and should be closer than LACR to most of you, especially OC guys. I am swamped with school stuff, but I will try to get more info. Anyone already know any details???? For those that do not know, its at the junction of the 210 and the 605.

Check it out on line here Irwindale Dragstrip

California Speedway also has a fairly similar program.

California Speedway

So I guess there is no excuse now not to hit the track.

Would a 95 with Sean Roe's high flow cats and borla xr-1 racing muffler be less than the tracks 90db rating?

Irwindale is an 1/8th mile track. Good fun, although it cost me $20 when I went on Sunday.

Also, there was some pretty loud cars there. I run high flow cats/headers and am quieter than many of them. Noise is not a problem. I did take a helmet cause they scrutinize the faster cars a little more at Tech.
