Default Wire removal!?? You got to be kidding me!

Ok, the plugs seem easy enough, but the wires!? Come on!!!

Do I have to remove the hoses to the rear pump to get to the distributor?! My big fat hands can't get down in there to feel the plug wire locations!

Uggg...

I've got big hands and arms. There was no way I could get the wires off and on. I got stuck a few times. My parents happened to be visiting so I had them change the wires for me. It was pretty funny that I needed my mom to work on my car.

My coolant needs to be drained, tis' looking quite the nasty. Took the drivers side pipes off, doing passenger next. will give me a bit more room.. still waaaay to tight back there.

Madd,
It really isn't that difficult. Your car is the same as mine; remove the wiper arms and as Steve340 said, remove the lower windshield panel. I taped the wipers and the panel to the windshield. ALSO, remove the windshield panel brace on the drivers side ( about a 5 inch round rod). Remove one wire at a time, find the corresponding length from new wire set, and route it. Yes, you may lose some arm skin, not too much though, I am still healing and I did mine about a year ago.
Later,

Of course you could leave the wires alone if they aren't causing any trouble.

You must have a special gen1, because there is NO way to get to the back set on the passenger side.

Yes the cowl, prop rods, heater box and heat sheilds (just in case) have been removed. Wipers are off the car.

The hoses needed to be replaced anyway, so I cut/removed most of them.
