Default Spark Plug Condition Question.

I just changed the plugs on my car for the first time at 12,500 miles, and noticed that all the ones from the passenger side had significantly more carbon buildup on them than the ones from the driver's side. The driver's side plugs looked to be in excellent shape. To me, the passenger side showed excessive carbon buildup (black dry residue).

Any ideas as to why? Throttle bodies out of synchronization maybe?

I would if I had a digital camera.

I am more concerned about the relative condition of the plugs from one bank vs. the other than the actual condition of the plugs as they aren't that bad.

Interesting. Sounds like you better get it checked out.

FWIW I've got 40K on my 98. I've changed the plugs twice and they are perfect. You can't tell any difference between them.
