I confess, I put about 3k miles on my Viper since I bought it without ever looking at the air filter elements. I finally got around to buying some S&B filters from Roe. I had no idea how long the old filters had been there so I figured it would be a good idea to change them. Well, it was more than a good idea, it was a wonderful idea to change them. The old filters were so dirty that I don't know how they were passing any air at all. There was a double handful of leaves in the housing in front of each filter. I know that when the car was started all those leaves must have been pulled into the filters. The car seems to have more power than before, imagine that.
I also put on some red smooth tubes, just for dress up. They were on sale if you bought the filters. |
