please take pictures of these and send them to the viper guru JON B, so in 20 or 30 years we have documentation on where to put these numbers. maybe jon b has a vault of documentation.?

06 24 99 sounds to me like your engine build date. Check this against the sticker on your driver's door near the latch. Near the bottom there is a line that starts with "MDH" followed by some numeric digits. This is the Month Day and Hour that your car started down the production line. The MDH should be after the engine build date by at least a couple of weeks.

The letters could be the initials of the engine builder or someone in charge of QC at the Mound Road engine plant.

It's on everything in the motor. It's even stamped on the pistons! I was fascinated by it when I pulled my motor apart. I guess Dodge wants to keep track of this stuff. Warranty work on these engines can be expensive.

Thanks for the info. Looking around and under the car, the bar codes and other markings really gets me excited. The car rules, way to much fun.

Brad- I took some of the interior panels off my car. Working on the stereo, recovering the center console, etc. Everything has numbers hand written on it- Date Codes. Very interesting.
