Default Stoptech or Powerslot or other rotors?

Stoptech or Powerslot or other rotors?

Stoptech runs ~$800 with motul fluid and stainless line kit

Power slots are about $550 + stainless lines, so around the same price.

any other recommendations? feedback? which ones you like?

Stop Tech 1pc or 2pc rotors? I run the Stop Tech 1pc slotted rotors for the track and they are only $145 each from Stop Tech. I've have good succcess with the Stop Techs and they have good customer service. There is a big price differnce between 1 & 2 pc rotors.

I don't think powerslots have 2 piece rotors like the Stoptech aerorotors. I don't know if prices you listed for the Stoptechs are for the 2 piece rotors but with an aluminum hat you get less weight and better heat expansion capabilities. Even if you don't track your car the 2 piece rotors look better. Also check the design and number of vanes as this helps in cooling and preserving the rotor. I don't know about the powerslots but the Stoptechs are TRACK TESTED as are the alcon rotors.

Now, if the goal isn't performance but looks, then check the Baer Eradispeeds instead of the powerslots.

Short and to the point, Powerslots are junk. Leave them for the ricers.

the price for stoptechs is for the "stage 2" brake upgrade, the picture looks like the 1 piece rotor

i basically do weekend driving, and probably track 3-4 times a year, is the added cost of 2 piece stoptech rotors worth it over 1 piece stop tech rotors?

thanks

ting

Hello Ting, the 1 piece rotors from Stoptech are only $160 each and the 2 piece are around $240 so I think that price is for the 2 piece so double check. Even if you track once a year, brakes are a weak point on that car. I'd think about pads too while you're at it.

San Ramon. I believe I've seen your silver ACR at Dublin Dodge. Good luck with the brakes. There is a lot of info on that subject if you do a search here or feel free to contact me if you have questions.
