All these awesome, killer engine combos are making me dizzy and I love it. But im getting confused as to who has what and what type of work it takes to achieve such power.
Maybe a list will help everyone to see just what a stock bottom end can handle wheather it be a creampuff or not. Lets get the dyno sheets out too, this is the time to bragg. Lets have everyone mention there tuner, max horsepower and torque and list the modification needed to achieve that power. Also, state if the heads have been worked or if the bottom end is stock or modified ect. |

I have the stock bottom end with a DLM Supercharger system. I have bellanger headers and Corsa Exhaust No cats. I have no fuel cell and make a 850RWHP and Nearly 900Ft/LBS Torque. Tuning is everything! Of course that is in The DLM Computer.

So the forged pistons are strong enough to handle that type of power, how about cast?

Dr Roof - awesome numbers for stock bottom end (even for a modified bottom end)....I assume the bottom end is blueprinted however?
If not - then the V10 is obviously built to 200% better tolerances than any of the muscle V8's ever saw. I'm also impressed the stock rings seal so well. |

Check the record keeper section of this site.
To throw my $ 0.02 in....my 97 GTS makes 776 RWHP @ 969 RWTQ, thats 910+ HP at the flywheel @ over 1100+ TQ. Engine has Stage II Cylinder heads, Nitrous Camshaft, Rockers, Headers/exhaust, and our NGP Nitrous System. Stock bottom end, clutch, and gearing. Compare the above package with it's price, turnaround time, drivability, power, torque and PROVEN multi car, multi occasion 9 second performance and a clear choice begins to emerge. This ain't the end............ 550 CI nitrous fed beast coming soon! Tom |

Can a cast piston car take more then 6 or 7 pounds of boost? I believe Sean Roe only recommends 5 psi for the cast cars and Paxton says 7.5 psi. So how does DLM get over 700rwhp out of a stock bottom end with cast pistons?

Do not go over 4 lbs of boost with cast, 5.5 to 6 lbs pounded the ring land (SP) on one of mine,, Cast BAD,, Forged GOOD,, Hyperetectic (SP) S_hit
Save yourself the money, do it right the first time! Mark |

pardon me for being dumb, but what exactly does a/f ratio mean? does a low #or high # indicate false readings because a motor was leaned out or made to run rich? If so, does that issue cause detonation? No flames, I honestly don't know!! what should the a/f ratio be at?
