Default Sport Compact Car Magazine USCC Dyno: Peak Power/Power delivery

This was the category that was dominated by the Viper without question.

All other cars that were running turbos and nitrous were popping and sputtering on the dyno and seemed to take forever to get through their pull.

We overheard the K&N employees remarking how the Heffner Supercharged Viper pulled through the RPM range so smoothly as compared to all the import cars popping and struggling to put down a big # like they knew the Viper would.

At the awards ceremony, Josh Jacquot admitted the Heffner Viper had pulled the highest Dyno # ever recorded in the history of the Sport Compact Car Magazine.

Let's face it, the Viper is the King of the dyno...... Now the 2nd part of the dyno results is the area under the curve. They calculated the area under the curve from 40% of the top end RPM limit. So, in my case, I started to hit it at 2,000 RPM so the car would be fully into it by 2400 RPM all the way to the redline.

We also added about 8 bags of ice to the top of the intake like everybody else did to make the big #.

I made 3 runs, tightening the belt after each one. The third run netted 13.5 PSI.

It was funny how they interviewed you on camera before each test to see what you expected to get # wise.

With all the other cars, it seemed to me that just the owner and a few others were on hand for the dyno pulls of the import cars; For the Viper, it seemed to me that everybody who was on site, janitors and cleaning people to boot were present to see what the Mighty Heffner Supercharged Viper would pull. Pretty exciting to say the least........

Paolo,
Good to see you back in one piece. Glad the car did exactly what it was supposed to. There is always next year to kick some ass.

J DAWG, I believe the red Supra put down 670 RWHP(He said he was going to put down mid 750's on boost only then he was going to spray on top of that==> I guess he had some problems, typical supra deal from what I have seen. All the small motors are at their limit)

Nick Wong's Skyline that blew up put down 660 RWHP and beat the Supra in terms of area under the curve.

The other Supra put down 450/460 for HP and TQ.

The Eclipse was supposed to put down 700 and I think it put down 500 WHP.

I really did not pay too much attention to the other #'s. This is all I remember.

Lol, that's exactly what I would have done. You know they can't possibly be anywhere close so why waste your time.
