Beware of the drone that your car will have once installed.

Mike is no longer selling them, for whatever reason.
And I think that other guy has the standard Borla (but I will check) without the etched tips. |

The Mopar Borla's with the etched tips are frequently on Ebay for around $750. They are loud, but I like loud.

Mopar/Borla all the way, I like it loud and mean, not tinny exotic sounding (aka Corsa). Have an x-pipe welded in the rear (search for my x-pipe thread and you'll find all the info) to have an even better sound and less drone. I'll be doing Belanger headers, Mopar/Borla exhaust, and an x-pipe. I'm using the x-pipe for the sound difference alone though, drone doesn't bother me so I could care less, I like the constant rumble of drone lol.

I may throw mine up for sale. Want a used Borla set-up? If so, you can motivate me to take mine off.

Well if it HAS to be the Mopar version, Chuck Tator - IS a Dodge Dealer, Jon at PartsRack , and Sean Roe can get Mopar parts also. Give 'em a try

Doesn't have to be Mopar, I just like the tips. And loud doesn't bother me.
Actually after further investigation, and talking with Collector's Choice, I may consider going with the Snake Oyl rear sub assembly. I like their product because it does exactly what I want. It gets rid of the rear muffler, thereby saving a little weight and giving a better sound, and it gets rid of the ugly stock tips. It is pretty affordable and I can go back to stock quickly. My 2001 Z06 was heavily modified, some of which I couldn't go back to stock even if I wanted. With the mods I want to do to my Viper, I want to keep everything so I can swap back if I ever want to sell the car or just keep at as a collector. |

There is a guy on ebay that has a Borla cat back now. He lists them regularly. Just search viper exhaust.
I heard that the SnakeOyl system is pretty loud. Keep us posted! |

I have the snake oyl system on my 98 GTS and I don't think it is very loud. I'd like to have the money to put Borla headers and Borla cat back on my car. I have a Borla cat back and x-pipe on my C5 vette and am pleased with that set up. It's too bad a set of headers is so expensive for the viper, I'd like to have them. I'm new to the forum and from what I can tell a set of used aftermarket headers wouldn't last long for sale would they?
