Default Hood Vents in a Gen I

This week end I saw my old Gen I and the current owner has installed the factory NACA Duct and Wheel Vents. It looked just like it came that way, totally factory finished and bolted in just like my 01. The body shop that did this did a great job. A little pricey in my opinion $1000.00+ but nothing is to much when you want it. I forgot my camera so don't scream at me but I will get pictures as soon as I can.

The Gen II hood adds a lot in my opinion.

I like the NACA duct but do not care for the hood vents, it kind of just kills the smooth lines of the hood and looks like a cut in after thought.

blah blah, I like the vents they break up the clown shoe look of the hood, I always thought the NACA duct looked like an after thought. $1000 just to cut 2 holes an mount these in the hood? You should not have to paint the hood if you do it right. I also like the big vent in the middle, but wonder if that will let in dust and water around the engine compartment?

And what's wrong with looking like a clown shoe, you wanna be a "CLOWN" after all!

I just went by the body shop yesterday to check the progress of my NACA duct install. It looks great, a good bodyshop is worth the $$$$$$$.
I just did the NACA on advice from DLM.

And like usually, I'll pick up the motor pieces behind you two dudes... (Ed and Dan)
Free parts for me, but they are usually melted ones...

You'll two catch me on straight road, but sure as he** not on curvy ones. Hah, Haa!!!

Thanks Dan, the Expedition paintjob looks great!
