Default Autoform still running strong

I talked to a guy in the Hot Rod Power Tour yesterday and he says that
Autoform is out of the Viper business entirely. Can anyone substantiate
that? He says all the mechanics are gone and that Autoform is only
building golf carts now.

Editors note....

Folks, to prevent any further confusion, we are going to lock this thread. It appears that the person on the Power tour is spreading inaccuarate information, and this has been verified by the original poster. Autoform is very much still in the Viper business developing and selling new products for all Generation Vipers. </font>

If it is, they haven't updated their webpage yet.

Geez, I hope not, they were one of the few companies that provided us with quality aftermarket body components. Besides, I'm waiting for a louvered Viper hood from them as I write this...

I'm on the phone with them right now. They are still in business. Jerry isn't there anymore, but they are around.

Steve was at a VCA club meeting a few weeks back. At the time they were very much in the viper business. I highly doubt they are out.

Autoform was at Gingerman this past weekend with a half dozen mechanics. Quit listening to losers...

nah... don't think of it that way... that is what the VCA is here for!

Now, Autoform has acknowledged a manufacturing defect in my roll-bar set-up (the bar is fine, but the sidebars don't fit)... the question is: will they replace it w/o charge?

I'll keep y'all posted!

Agreed. It sure would have been better to drop a dime and call them before posting the inflamatory rumor and original title. Now the THREAD HAS BEEN RETITLED, and is much better than the original.

These kinds of posts [esp the original title] can create damaging inuendo.

PLEASE DELETE THIS THREAD. Its the same harm as "DISCUSSING" something like 'rumor says Jon B has finally stopped beating his kids'

Steve at AF was quite angry at the rumor AND the original title.

Isn't the purpse of the discussion forums to discuss subjects and ask questions? Obviously, this would be a good place to come and find out if that information is valid or not.

Now, everyone who reads this thread will know that Autoform is indeed in business. What is the damage in that? Answer, none!

Is Dodge out of business?

I placed a call to Steve and Autoform is indeed going strong. There is a person on the Hot Rod Powertour who is spreading the bogus info and Steve knows exactly who it is and will deal with him accordingly.

I apologize to Steve for any issues this caused him.

JD- I'm sure Steve will stand by his products- always has.

JonB and 3snakes: This is the "discussions" area right? Autoform has been in business since 1993 (not 20 years by my math)and I doubt my little post could cause a damaging inuendo.

Autoform is going strong, 'nuff said,

If someone is out there spreading false info, then such a thread like this will equip people to respond with correct information.
