I have a guy here in Ft. Lauderdale that does mine. He is doing an intake manifold as we speak. Let me know what you want done and I'll get a price and a turnaround time.

Depending on what you are looking for (mirror finish?), you may have to start with sandpaper to smooth things out (first de-anodizing, then working from #250 to #800), and then start with the compounds (tripoli, rough,...). You can find the stuff at a lot of places: online (Eastwood, etc.) car shows, and even Sears. You can use a drill or diegrinder with appropriate arbor to run the buffs, and even a bench grinder will work. The sewn buffs are for the rough polishing, and the loose flaps are for the final polish. I went through a lot of this when I was into show bikes, but now find it much easier and faster to hire out the work... I'll tell you more when I call later...

MSC inc. has all the things you will need. They are lots cheaper than Eastwood.
Obaa996 is right on about the procedure.
Something like an intake manifold probably shouldn't be your first project.
