It's a reverse clown shoe! That's cool looking but where would the engine go? The rear glass looks a little long too. But minus that if the GenIV looked like it, I'd buy one.

John: You brought a completely new design to the table. A real "cab forward" Lambo-like front end, with a Viper stretched limo rear, and a lot of porsche thrown in for good measure... I wonder what DC thinks about it? I bet they are not moving that direction but hey, nice skill.

Would have to be a mid-engine car. Would probably improve handling even further....

Nice for a mid-mount. I still prefer the long "grand tourer" snout which the front engine layout gives us.

hmmm What the Gen III Coupe could've been & what the Gen IV should be....What I see is what the ME-412 might have been if the viper wasn't ever made.

It looks like a Gen II with a mid engine. That design isn't contemporary. The Gen II was designed in '94 so it's already a 10 year old design. Why would you make the Gen III or IV like a ten year old design? The designers today are working on what people will like 3-4 years from now. Granted I think they missed the mark on the Gen III but at least it's evolutionary.

What the designers did to the Viper post GenII can never be considered "evolutionary" in my opinion.
You're supposed to improve on a design. "Japalutionary" maybe, but not "evolutionary". Let's break it down. Muscle cars are generally known as American hot rods of the 60's- 70's. The viper is considered a modern day muscle car. Question, how many japanese cars do you think of when you think "muscle car"?? None. To try and blend the two as DC has done is ludicrous and possibly disastrous. Time will tell if they can recover from this mighty blunder. |
