The local rednecks were cracking us up last night. My car was running 11.2's on motor for several passes and everyone was saying the car should run low 10's on a 100 shot and low 9's on a 200 shot. Nothing like hangin' with some good ole boys for an ego boost.
But anyway I made 2 passes on the 100 shot and went 10.98 (1.86 60') at 133 and 10.82 (1.83 60') at 134. My NA mph was only 124 last night and it usually hits 127-128, but maybe it was the track. However I was pleased to see the 9 mph increase with a 100 shot. I am thinking it is making close to the 100 rwhp with that kind of jump in mph. I seemed to get off the line ok, but right when the nos hit the drag radials didn't have a prayer. My nos is set to come in at 3000 rpms. I never did try to raise that to say maybe 3500 to see what happened. Where do most people have their's hitting off the line? I guess most are running slicks/skinnies, but what should I try with drag radials? John |

JDAWG
I have the NX wet, jets 52nos/35fule 200 shot. Mines on a Micro switch activated at wide open throttle. I spray right off the line on BFG's and track prep can make all the difference. 60' are usually 1.6s to 1.7s But on really good days as low as 1.4s. I run at over 4600' corrected Altitude so my times will be off from yours, but all motor low 12's, 100 shot Mid 11's, 200 shot low 11's to high ten's. What where your 60' and 330' on all motor compared to the two that you sprayed ? |

Jdawg -
Nice! Sweet runs, I'll say. What tire pressure are you running on the drag radials? You might need to drop them down a tad to accomodate the NOS... JD |

Jdawg, when you launched, did you have a noticable delay before the nitrous came on?

John,
Not bad for a 100 shot !!! Watch you tire pressure and throw the window switch away. You are shocking the tires, that is why you are blowing the tires away when it hits. If anything bring the window down to 2600 rpm and make sure you use a WOT switch. I leave on a WOT only at 2100 and cut high 1.40s and low 1.50s on BFGs. I ran 10.90s on a 100 shot in Columbus at night..that would be about right for your combination also. I think on a 200 shot, you will be all over 10.40s. Keep it going, you have a killer base line to work with. See ya, Joe |

I think 2100 rpms is what he launches at, by the time you get to WOT your well past 3000 rpms

The window switch is really only for first gear.
Unless you short-shift, you will always above 3000RPM going into the rest of the gears. I'd look at dropping the tire pressure a bit, or shift a little earlier. Still, it could easily be track prep (or a lack of it). |

my 60 w/o nos were 1.70 and my 330's are normally 4.7x with nos my 60's were mid 1.8's and my 330's were 4.8 to 4.9. It seemed to make the time up on the big end. My 1/8 with or without nos were 7.1 to 7.2 and 98 na and 104 with nos, so it really started to pull once it hooked in third. My car made 525/535 with heads and mild cam and the TNT kit has 39 nos and 22 fuel for a 100 shot. |

Isaac, on the street there is certainly a delay, but at the track there didn't seem to be much of one. I don't know if it was because of the way I was slipping the clutch and being on the edge of traction and it immediately breaking loose or what. I thought about raising the on rpm to 3500 and trying that. I usually get my best launch when I slip the clutch around 3500 rpm's or more, but the second I nailed it the microswitch let loose the spray and it was all over the place. JD I checked and my psi was at 177 and normally I have it around 15 psi. Hopeffully by Bradenton I will get the hang of it. See you in FL. John |

. Knowing my luck I would leave parts and pieces everwhere, but what you say makes sense about shocking the tires(which they were). I hope to see some mid 10's when it is all said and done. Are you planning on making it to FL in another car? |
