Nothing like a little project to make time go by.....
![]() Of course the wound is not just superficial ![]() Is anyone familiar with this car? I will have PICS soon of the restoration. I do my own work to stay out of trouble. It takes longer, but sure makes one appreciate the car a lot more. Thanks a ton for the help from all during the process. This board and an owners manual have made it possible. |

This car is missing everything. I can't even imagine the co$t of this project |

so you're going to spend 30-40K on top of what you bought the car for to have a car worth 35K tops?
does not compute. |

Not to add to the list but by the looks of the valve cover and busted up intake (missing throttle body).
Add a new (used) motor to that list That motor took one heck of a hit. I hope the motor did not ingest anything. If it didn't I would be surprised. Cool project nonetheless. Good luck! |

Wow my guess is 60k worth in parts if done properly. Good luck on the project, you will need it.

I think you should sell it and buy a '69 Camaro or something that will actually be worth what you put into it.

Car is now near completion....
To answer some comments. Cost is not as bad if you are not in a hurry.. example, repairable hood + front bumper $1500. frame + installation (within 1MM) $4100. VIPERRT96..good guess. swallowed a ton of intake. bent 6 intake valves + 1 exhaust...stage 2 ported heads + valves $1700. had to pull the pan and remove aluminum... Craig 201...price compute...nah, its about loving to work on cars....and a good challenge.. BIG carrot...have the 69 HEMI roadrunner for the value thing Stugots..do not know about survivors..auction car... |

Good idea maybe if the 69 Camaro was a "YENKO", them cars bring in north of 100K. but, the SS, RS, and Z28 prices are soft right now. Years back I sold a 69 Camaro RS and a 67 RS/SS, both cherry, got just enough to buy my 97 GTS...and I still believe some day my GTS will be worth more then a 60s or 70s muscle car..just my opinion though..... |

Man you had me going there.
I thought there was work to be done!COOL! The car is looking top notch. If the real thing is as good as the pics you could silence the critics with that one. All I can say is great job! |

Really impressive. Is that an exact match or slightly darker than Viper Blue.
How is it going to drive? |
