Well, i took my gascap off to have it polished and powder coated(clear) and i am having a HECK of a time getting the filler tube back through the rubber gasket while its installed in the base......any suggestions?

A little lubricant like Zaino tire gloss will help.

I use Parker O-Lube, wonderful product for any O-ring installation. A tiny bit goes a LOOOOOOOnnnnnnggggggg way.
