I had the same experience. Idle hang returned. As the memory fills up with error codes it might return. Clear the memory and it will go away for a time. That is how mine is working.

Since I try to post on every idle hang thread, just wanted to mention that John Horton the master Viper tech since 1992 that runs West Coast Viper swears that the secret to killing idle hang is to run the Number Four test, the idle air pass test, on the DRB diagnostics tool the dealer has so that the throttle bodies are perfectly synchronized. My understanding is that you hook up some leads to vacuum lines on the throttle bodies and the machine ends up electronically monitoring how much air is passing over each throttle plate at idle so that you can match them via real air flow rather than mechanically comparing the angle of the two plates at idle. I am going to throw in some guaze filters then get this test done and will be reporting the result.

And oh yeah, weight 50 or so miles before you declare your idle hang dead.

phoenixGTS hi i thought there was no air going past the throttle plates at idle.?? ie plates closed.the only air going into the motor coming from the iac motor?if air is going over the plates at idle could i connect a vacuum gauge to the two small ports on the manifold just behind the throttle bodies,and then adjust the plates????. i don`t think anyone in the uk has a drb tool.but i bet they got hang.ps i am new please forgive me if i am being a t*t.

I do not have idle hang, however, when I removed the manifold last year and the throttle assembly must have taken a physical hit. The result was a stumble at about 2000 rpm's. I did not associate it with the throttle sync at the time. I finally narrowed it down (after six months) to the throttle sync issue. I now have it very close, but, not exact and I can attest it is not easy to eyeball and adjust the throttle bodies.

btw, it's not software related. I think it'll come back once the car relearns the parameters with the new PCM.. but I hope for your sake it works!!

According to Mr. Horton (and I believe him), the butterfly plates allow air past even when closed all the way. He even suggested that if I had the throttle bodies off, I should hold them up to the light and could probably see if one is a bit more open than the other when they are supposedly "closed," but maybe a better description would be how well the round butterfly plate fills up the round throttle body channel. Given a little bit of "leak," then the IAC can open and close to finely adjust the amount of idle air. Just repeating what I heard.
