I'm thinking about selling my 2002 GTS and going backwards (96-99 GTS) and could use some opinions on what it's worth.
2002 GTS - Red 9300 Miles 2nd Owner (Bought 1 1/2 years ago from Woodhouse). 100% Stock except for smooth tubes. 7/70 Extended Warranty. Great condition. Thanks |

Why do you want to go to a..................... Oh, cast piston vs. forged! Do what I did, buy both

You could just go with forged pistons and swap the cam. Probably cheaper than selling and buying another. Plus you would get to keep ABS.

'99 was the last year for forged pistons.

I would say the car is worth 55k-58k. If you are just going back to get the forged pistons, I think you would be better served just upgrading your pistons. The amount you will loose in tax will be more than the cost of the pistons.

Actually I think I'd like to get a Blue w/ White stripes or a Silver w/ Blue stripes. So do most think it's worth about 57/58k?

I just got a Silver w/Blue Stripes this past Saturday. Very classy color combo. I got mine ('99 GTS) for a lot less than that (20K miles). But I think I got a pretty darn good deal too.

I meant 57/58k for my 2002 GTS w/ 9300 miles on it. |

I would say closer to 59-60k would be accurate.
