Who can tell me how to hook up an auto meter boost guage? I have a 2001 w/Roe SC and VEC2. I'm sure there must be an easy way to tap into the VEC2 since it already knows this information.
Thanks, Rich |

mechanical gauge?
just T into the vaccum line at the vec II and run it into your car. pull power from the fuse box in the car make sure you only use a short rubber hose then run the rest with the hard hose that comes with the gauge |

First pull the s/c then the intake...drill hole, then tap 1/8 npt hole in rear vertical surface of intake.....thread in 1/8 npt to 1/8 tube fitting....... reinstall intake...reinstall s/c...... run tubing to boost gauge. Nothing to it....take JD about 15 minutes

can't you just tap into the vacume line that the vecII is using?
if not, then rich - stay home... JD |

I hope Tony is just trying to be funny! I can't come by today to do it JD. If it is a ten minute job, tell me and I can "Get-R-Done"!
Thanks, Rich |

Its simple, I would say one hour to mount the pod and all. Just use a vaccum T and cut into the VECI vaccum hose, then run a 3" piece of vaccum hose onto the T, hook up the little step down adapter and push the hard line into that adapter, run the hardline under the ECU area, there is a spot under there to run easily into the car, you'll have to reach around the back side and you will have to cut a slice into the rubber grommet. run the hose through there then open the door and pull it through, simply pull power from the fuse box inside the car. Make sue you pull power from the side of the fuse that dies if the fuse pops
