How many miles before your stock tires needed replacement? It appears my treads are good but the handling and spin out is horrible. I have 13,000 miles on them.

The spinout and handling may be horrible because the tires are getting old and hard. Sounds like its time to get some new shoes IMO

I kind of figured that so I just purchased a new set of Pilots from Tire Rack. Front and back so hopefully that should solve my problems. Thanks for experiance

Since you're replacing all 4 tires, remember now you have an excuse to find a big empty area and do some massive burnouts...that way, you know you need new tires when you're done

As such, I'm thinking about replacing all four tires, despite the fronts still showing a ways to go before the wear bars. I figure tires are cheaper to replace than bodywork if I should indeed lose it. |

I got about 19K miles of the orginal tires on my '01 RT/10. There were getting a little old so I replaced them even though I probably had another 5K miles left.

I think mine might wear out more due to age than they would mileage. 2,350 miles and counting ...

My experience is 12-15,000 miles or 5 to 6 heat cycles. Whichever occurs first. It is tough to have half tread life remaining when the heat cycles have resulted in tires with no grip.

I find that the average for the rear is around 15,000 and the front about 20,000 but there are expections to this rule. Ask CitySnake, 30K+ on original tires.

I think City Snake has the record for original tires.
