Hi everyone ~ After tons of research, a trip to CA to look @ a number of Vipers, and a rental from NV to CA and back to really confirm this is the car for us, my wife and I purchased and received our 1993 Viper March 16th in Anchorage, AK.
I don't prefer the soft top so I ordered and should receive by week's end a hardtop and windows from AP Engineering. I've already installed the door poppers (thanks for instructions VCA). Although it is still early in the year, I've taken the car out on a few short trips to see how it runs. All seems to checkout, but I'm experiencing an intermittent check engine on quick acceleration from 2nd to 3rd. I'll have the local shop put an analyzer on it to see if it's a sensor. That's excellent, GenI is a great looking car. I have wanting a stock GenI lately.
So what's the driving season like for you 6 months on 6 months off? |

Woohoo, reminds of Elmendorf, spent many a cold day changing engines and props in that environment.
Your going to love this car in the summer and be one of a very select few up there that have one. She's a beauty! I lived over on Kodiak and I can tell you, no one has one over there! Congrats: I actually pick mine up the day after tomorrow and know how you feel. The folks on this site can tell you anything and everything about these cars IT IS THE PLACE TO BE! |

Very cool (literally). What are the roads like there? I'm sure you will have one of the few, in not the only, Viper in your area. Should be an awesome summer.
Have fun. |

LOVE THE TITLE OF THE THREAD!
Those are some great pictures. Congratulations and welcome to the club. Must be a great experience to own one of the only Vipers in Alaska. A true sight. Good luck with it. |
