That was Doug Levin vs. Tony Darwin (Sir Hiss) 1999 at Moroso. Vipers vs Vettes road course in the morning and dragracing in the afternoon. It was pretty wild to see in person.

That was a very sad wreck he got hurt but walked away from it. That prostock vette cost as much as a couple of vipers.
I would hate to see that happen in a stock Viper  -lou |

Well, he walked away eventually. He was knocked unconscious and spent the night in the hospital.

Doug figured it was a combination of rear suspension set up and a tie rod.

Oh, Tony is the Sir Hiss guy. I seen his Viper (V8 engine) on TV before. Glad nobody was seriously injured.
