trottle sticking at 1750 then 1500 then 1000 then 750 idle. i called tom sessions
today as he is the one who gave me the solution. (thanks tom) if you have this problem as i hear many do, try this. open fuse box under hood if front of driver. ( by the positive aux battery post ) you will see 9 color fuses, the center one is yellow 20 amp ( pull this fuse it is marked for the pcm, under the cover that covers the fuses you will see this ) let the car sit for at least 15 minutes then reinstall the fuse. start the car and give it about 3 minutes as the computer resets itself. this fixed mine. BY DOING IT THIS WAY YOU DONT HAVE TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY OR UNPLUG THE WIRE HARNESS. i would try this first before messing with the trottle body adjustments. good luck all, hope this helps others. lmk if it does. tom |

Just a quicker way to do what I told you to do. Glad it worked.

Would this also work for different problems. I was just wondering if I should do the same thing for putting new exhaust or any thing else like the intake on, to reset the pcm, thoughts? or should I just leave it be?

Hey... I said to reset your computer from your first post. It worked for me, but the problem came back after a month or so. But I did it by disconnecting the batt. Let us know if the problem comes back.

It will come back. All you did was reset the computer.
