I'm doing some brake upgrades and adding Tom's 40mm brake kit to my RT/10 so i decided to get some drilled and slotted rotors! I don't want to spend alot and i know some of you have bought these off e-bay. Which are the best to get? Any suggestions?
Heres a few choices.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dodge...spagenameZWDVW http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DODGE...spagenameZWD1V http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/92-02...spagenameZWD1V These are diamond cut , does that make any difference? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dodge...17150812QQrdZ1 Any suggestions? Anyone have any of these rotors? |

Slotted and or drilled rotors. Not sure if there is any real benefit to braking.
Lot of theory but pro and con. I would not waste money on slotted or drilled rotors. I have the StopTech Big Brake kit on my ACR, that was a braking improvement. |

FYI one Issue with drilled rotors is cracking around the holes.
If you are buying drilled/slotted rotors for an illusions of high performance rotors then cost vs looks may be the guiding light. But if you want stopping power use the stock rotors with better brake pads and rotor cooling hardware like air deflectors. |

EBC discs are great got mine from Jon B they are dimpled,so they look just like drilled rotors as the dimples are painted black and are slotted to help brake gas dispersal I do agree with Fred but I could never afford the Stoptech kit for a couple of track events per year.
On the road the EBC's look great. |

I have used last 2-3 years RotorPro's from E-bay. Get zinc plated with painted hubs. Cheap and works well. I dont track the car, but for everyday cruising they are OK. I change them about every 2 years or so. Not that they are worn, but they tend to develop tiny cracks. No problems with them so far with about 15K miles. |

EBS pads are lower dust pads but the trade off is braking performance. The better braking from Tom's 40mm kit is offset with the EBS pads.

With better braking meaning heat soak; you can still lock the wheels up with ebc greens, just not time and again in short time spans.
