GTS wheels on my 94' with Pilots, stock height.
![]() ![]() Since I'm on a budget but wanted aftermarket wheels, I did some looking around for something that wouldn't break my bank but give my car a more "tuned" look. Good ol' Tire Rack.com came in handy. Price/sizes all totaled up below. With the new rubber, my car HOOKS on the street! See the new pics below with a few cosmetic mods and lowered with Eibach Pro Kit. Even though the wheels are 17", when measured from lip to lip, they were 18.5" wide. My 17" wheels on my Mustang GT only measure 18" wide, so these may have a little bigger lip making them look just a tad bigger. Looks pretty proportional to me, so I got what I was wanting. The pics at the very bottom are a little cheesy, but a few peeps asked what it would look like with a painted rim/silver lip, so I did my best to show an idea of what it would look like if someone wanted to have their SSR's painted. There's a nicely defined line on the lip to have the silver taped off and only get the spokes painted if desired. 2 P275/40ZR-17 Sumitomo HTR Z In Stock $88.00 $176.00 1 Sumitomo Registration Card In Stock N/C N/C 1 Sumitomo Warranty Packet In Stock N/C N/C 2 17x11 SSR Comp-H SML In Stock $459.00 $918.00 24 Required lugnut for vehicle In Stock N/C N/C 2 SSR center cap In Stock N/C N/C 2 17x13 SSR Comp-H SML In Stock $509.00 $1,018.00 12 Required lugnut for vehicle In Stock N/C N/C 2 SSR center cap In Stock N/C N/C 2 335/35WR-17 Kumho ECSTA V700 In Stock $208.00 $416.00 1 Kumho Registration Card In Stock N/C N/C 2 Mount and Balance (No Charge) N/C N/C 2 Mount and Balance (No Charge) N/C N/C Shipping: $104.62 Tax: $.00 Excise Tax: $.00 State Waste Tire Fund Fee: $.00 Order Total Including Shipping: $2,632.62 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I went with CCW 505A's 18x10 fronts with Pirelli P0 275/35/18
19x13 rears with Pirelli P0 355/25/19 I had CCW ship the wheels to Cal Chrome for an awesome chrome job. Luke at TireRack shipped my tires to Cal Chrome so they could do the mounting and balancing for me. I bought blank center caps from CCW and then engraved the Sneaky Pete logo on them with my CNC router. |

Those look nice, I especially like the custom caps.
Smart move have the chromer mount the tires. How well do the Pirelli's hook up? How wide is that lip? If you dont mind saying how much for the whole package to your door? Thanks Andy |

The chrome CCW505A's look nice but I really cannot tell the difference between the finish on them and Cayman's factory polished CCW505 wheels on the previous page. Unless chroming is a more lasting finish and protection I don't think I would be inclined to spend the extra money to have it done.
I'm considering a set of these later this year so I carefully study any pics of these particular wheels. |

I can tell a big difference between the polished and chrome finish. I have 2 sets of CCW wheels right now one polished and the other chrome. When you look at them side by side there is a huge difference. Also, the chrome is definitely easier to keep clean. I'll post some pics of them side by side later.

still can't find the perfect wheel design for the future RT....!
closest so far is the HRE 893r: http://www.hrewheels.com/wheels.php?q=/890R/890R/ F19"x275, R19"x345, no rim studs, recessed rears, black inner and silver rim options... but they're too expensive even on OEM trade in! could anyone please post a pic if they have this set up? is there a similar, less expensive design out there? cheers pete close (without rim studs): ![]() what are these? concentrate on the wheels!: ![]() (c/o Albert Fattal) ![]() Last edited by Zed Sump; 06-24-2007 at 04:23 AM. |
