Question Has anyone switched out their headlight projectors?

As we all know, the Viper headlights are pretty weak, even with a HID bulb upgrade. The crystal at the end of the projector has the look of cheap plastic and the beam focus is pretty much nonexistent. Has anyone done a complete projector switch (or maybe just the crystal?) and if so what parts did you use and what were the results?

MY DD is an E55 Mercedes. It has the active-curve, bi-xenons(awesome headlamps). I was thinking myself if this would be possible... Obviously the active curve part would be tough(if not impossible) to duplicate(cost effectively). But I would like to see the answers to this myself.. I want to do an HID kit, but feel the factory projectors might not be worth the effort?
