Will be painting the black metal parts behind the brake vaccum booster and on pass side near air box. These have become rusty as the car sat in Boca Raton for 10 years with little driving.
Question is, can I use spray black acrylic lacquer to repaint these parts, or do I have to use black heat resistant paint...seems that is reserved for headers and such? Thanks. You should be fine with regular paint. You have to remember, the source of heat, AKA that big V10, is closer to to the plastic master cylinder reservoir than it is the brake booster. Which by the way has a rubber diaphragm in it of sorts. Which all of those would melt way before reg paint would peel.

Now, that may have been obvious, but I surely didn't think of that!
