Sounds like you want your Viper really low. The Eibachs wont cut it IMO. They only lower it like 3/4- 1 inch. Go with coilovers. You will be able to lower your car alot more.

Roe Racing has spring seats that lower the car about 3/4", but they aren't going to stiffen your suspension enough. My Eibachs lowered my tire to fender lip to just under 2". The Eibach springs are stiff enough that the car doesn't bottom out. As far as I'm concerned it's the perfect height.

Eibachs alone roughly 3/4" maybe close to 1". Spring caps about 3/4" likely just under that measure. Both your pretty guaranteed to get about 1 1/2" - 2". Best bet, put em both on and slam it.

Like he said... 3/4 maybe 1" with Eibachs. A bit stiffer ride too.
1" does not sound much, but believe me, you'll be scraping all over with it. I can no longer go over larger speed bumps. ![]()

How can I obtain the 1" drop from the Eibachs with the srping cups and stock springs?
Can the stock springs be cut some? In parts rack web site they say the Eibachs lower the front .6", and the spring caps about .65 os so the front also. Is this correct? |

Those measurements are estimates. At best an assumption. Exact measurements of heigh will vary based on each vehicle due to wear, spring tension, weight etc. The Eibachs will likely lower the rear slightly more than the front.
I believe the result you are trying to achieve is round about 1" to 1 1/2".... am I correct? If I am, your best bet is to order the set (Eibach Springs and Spring Caps). You can always install one or the other and check the result. You can also combine them to get the best look and feel. Hope this is a better description. ![]()

Rob, thanks!
This is my Dilema. I have Eibachs now, and like the looks (hate the bouncing though). I'm putting 27" tall sticky tire in the rear and changing back to stock spring to aide weight transfer and traction. I'm installing the spring caps, but would like to achieve the same stance I have now, or possibly a tad lower in the front so that the Wheel well gap in the front and rear would be the same. Looking for a look similar to a GTS on 20s with Eibachs. So I figure putting the caps and cutting the springs just a hair might get me there. The 27" tall tire will eat 1/2" of wheel gap vs. the 26s, and give me the same gap I have now with Eibachs and 26" tall rears. However, I would like to lower that gap another 1/2" (here is where cutting the stock springs come in). Do the Spring caps lower the front the same as the Eibachs? Thanks! |

Again exact measurements will vary. The caps will lower slightly less than the Eibach's most cases. Just be careful that you keep the car level or close to. You'd hate to be riding down the road looking like the nose is buried.

I have a Gen 3 and the Eibachs lowerd the front 1 1/4" and the back about 1 1/2"........it really makes a difference, and you have to watch the dips and driveways VERY closely! Anymore than what I obtained would be too low for me!

You do not want to cut your springs. Bad move in doing that. ![]()
